How to quickly Search People in Windows Phone 7 People Hub

After using the Samsung Omnia 7 for a week now, I discovered a nice trick yesterday, you might not know about. It’s “hidden” in the People hub. With this trick it is possible to quickly search people in the people hub.

Two straight forward methods

When entering the people hub there are 3 ways to navigate to the person you’ like information from:
1 – Scroll through the list of people, and search the person you’re looking for in the list
2 – Push the Search button in the people hub and enter the name of the person you’re looking for.

Another way to search people

The third is the one I’d like to mention in this tip.

When you push the letter “C” in the picture above, you’ll get a full-screen overlay with all the letters of the alphabet. If there are no contacts with the starting letter (In my example the letter Q) that letter will be grayed out.
The other letters aren’t grayed out, and pushing one of these letters, instantly brings you to people of the selected letter.

This way you don’t need to scroll down for ages to search the person you want to get in touch with, and you don’t need the hassle of writing his/her whole name when searching in the people hub. I hope this will help you navigate through your contacts more quickly than before!
