A great many thanks for sharing your view. The HP Mini 1000 I own doesn’t have an SSD but an HDD and is build with hard plastic covers. Honestly I wouldn’t want to drop the HP Mini 1000, since it is a really nice compact netbook for use on the go. It simply protects the device in everyday use, and in the article I tried to show the added value compared to a no-name sleeve-case from eBaY.

In that reasoning I would personally prefer the Waterfield Sleevecase for HP Mini 1000, however everyone needs to adapt a purchasing decision to its own requirements, wishes, and economics and roi-decisions of course. Thank you for your insights !

Also, because netbooks don't weigh much to begin with, when they are dropped inadvertently, there is little or no damage.
