SkyDrive stored documents can be shared and edited without a Microsoft account

One of the largest complaints with documents shared on SkyDrive was that others couldn’t edit collaborated documents if they didn’t have a Microsoft account. Well SkyDrive listened and this is now possible.

According to the Inside SkyDrive official Blog a billion Office documents on SkyDrive can be collaborated with ease. With a special edit link all recipients (even with a non-Microsoft ) can edit the document. You can even edit this at the same time. Of course you can have more control and just invite specific people via their email and checking the “require user sign-in”.

These changes definitely will make it easier to share and collaborate specific documents. SkyDrive is increasingly adding functionality and is becoming a Hub within Microsoft where everything runs through.
