Verizon Samsung Omnia II Review Part 2 – User Interface

In Part 1 of our review of the Verizon Samsung Omnia II we looked at the device quickly, including what came in the box with the device. Now in part 2 we will be looking more in the different user interfaces (UI) that the Verizon Samsung Omnia II has.

Samsung has their own Samsung TouchWiz UI and a Cube UI. We also will show SPB Mobile Shell 3.5 and the standard Windows Mobile 6.5 user interface on it. The video below is about 10 minutes long but we will give you a view of many options these different User interface’s will have.

As of today the Samsung Omnia II is available at Verizon for $199 after a $100 rebate and a 2-year contract.

Hi I was wondering about when you download the spb shell onto your samsung omnia 2(does it mae the phone sluggish in rendering web pages or just how it runs and the speed of it?)Oh and one more thing! Do you recommend downloading the spb suite, news, and wireless monitor in addition to the spb shell? What do the other spb things do anyways/

      Hi Julian,
I haven’t noticed the phone loosing any speed at all with SPB Mobile Shell 3.5

The other SPB products are great products as well. Check there specifics what they do here :
      - http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/pocketpc-software/wirelessmonitor/ and
the wireless monitors the amount of data you use. (i suggest getting an unlimited data plan and you don’t have to worry.
The link will send you to more reviews as well, ooops it doesn’t support windows mobile 6.5

in regrads to the phone suite check out the features here http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/pocketpc-software/phonesuite/
personally I am happy with the mobile shell on it’s own

SPB new is a great RSS reader however there are many free ones as well.
