Resco Photo Manager 7 released

Back in September I wrote a review about the new Resco Photo Viewer Beta. In my final thought I wrote:
As a last point I would like to mention that the name “Photo viewer” is in my opinion a little bit of an understatement. From all the added features that should be available in the final version in my thoughts it became a true Photo Manager in stead of just a Viewer.
The guys over at Resco were happy that I wrote about their photo software and it looks like they agreed my final thoughts. Therefore they changed the name of their software to Resco Photo Manager
Differences
Resco Photo manager has pretty much the same interface as the 7.00 beta I’ve reviewed. After installing the 7.01 version I see a lot of difference between the beta and the final version.
The final version is noticeably faster than the beta. There is a HUGE difference in speed and that is in the advantage of the final version. I also wrote about the file-uploading to different internet services. In the beta version it sadly didn’t work the way I had expected it. And again in the final version this is a huge difference.
Uploading to Twitter (http://twitpic.com/skkgv) and flickr were fawless, without any problems and very fast! Overall I must say the speed is really the wow-factor through the complete application.
An extra feature which wasn’t available in the beta was the “Timeline”. When scrolling through the pictures on your device on the right side of the screen a timeline appears. If you scroll your finger over the timeline you’ll see horizontal bars. Those bars are an icon for how many pictures were taken in that particular month. The longer the horizontal bar, the more pictures were taken on that specific month.
The Full change-log is at the Resco Website and can be found here: http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/photomanager/allfeatures.htm
Final Thoughts And Wrap-up
Without a doubt Resco Photo Manager 7 is a great piece of software on your Windows Phone. With this Photo Manager you’ve got control over all your pictures. It is great to see how the Resco Team pulled it off to make this great looking application so extremely fast.
