Since a few weeks, a dutch developer named Halil Yüksel of MobileLayers.com is developing applications for Windows Mobile that are easy to use without a stylus and were on the wishlist of many dutch Windows Mobile users. Amongst them is a program that has been made only available for iPhone and Android named NU.nl to read the dutch news and Trein! that you can use if you travel by train a lot. Halil has already made Windows Mobile versions for those aforementioned programs and since two days, a beta version of tweakers.ml has been developed to read the news from the biggest tech website in The Netherlands named Tweakers.net

The program is easy to use without a stylus and straight to the point. It has no difficult options, just read the technews and nothing else. Although all the screenshots are in dutch language, you’ll see that the application is intuitive and very useful if you read the tweakers.net newsfeeds often.

The program starts with the main interface with all the news sorted by category. You can choose to read Mixed news which is basically a mix of all the other categories or read from Core, Pro, Games, Electronics or Mobile News. Sadly the Mobile News category does not fit on the bottom bar, so you have to access that category with the “Meer” (Next) button.

The program even runs in landscape mode. This is not done automatically, but you can choose this from the menu.

If you want to download tweakers.ml (not a typo!) or one of the other applications, just point your mobile browser to http://m.mobilelayers.com and save the cabfile to your Windows Mobile device.
What should be the next port of a popular program on your wishlist that is currently not available for the Windows Mobile platform ? Let us know in the comments.
