Apple iPad Review – First Impressions

On Saturday morning April 3rd, 2010 I got up early enough to stand inline as a walk-in at the Apple store in our area. I wasn’t sure about the Apple iPad at launch announcement and didn’t pre-order the iPad. However the closer the date came to April 3rd I had the urge to have it in hand. Below are my first impressions in a video.

The Apple iPad is now avaialble at the Apple Store and retailers. Maybe they are out of stock in some stores, but in the Apple online storeyou can get the 16GB ($499), 32GB ($599) and the 64Gb ($699) Wifi and Bluetooth enabled iPad’s.

The added 3G module versions will be available for pre-order with shipping at the end of April. The 3G models will be a  $130 more expensive.

So far I am very much impressed with the iPad. As a media information device the iPadit is now replacing my iPhone in the evening while lounging on the couch while watching some TV. Bringing the iPad along on my travels with my family in combination with Verizon Mifi makes the iPad a great entertaining device for the back seat drivers.

Enjoy the video below in which I show you some great functionality of the iPad. Come back often to check out my other video reviews of applications and accessories for the iPad.

Nice impression about how the device actually works in real life. Just a thought: make an impression about working with apps like mail, adding contacts, editting text.

We are working on that. There is already a small review of the calender app on the iPad.
