Apple iPad Review – Calendar

The Apple iPad has a great calendar user interface. With the added screen estate it shows the calendar in a notebook style. In both landscape and portrait mode is shows the identical lay-out. (see video).

I much prefer the landscape orientation which gives me an easier look and read of what is going on in my life.

It is possible to sync multiple calendars over the exchange account and through an Apple computer as long as you sync them from a desktop calendar application that has those multiple calendars already using Google sync. A great article by Kevin Tofel of jkOnTheRun explains this a little bit more.

Posted below are some screenshots of my Calendar on the Apple iPad. The video will show you the calendar in action.

How do you save the calendar
Just lost all my notes on the iPad default Notes app – have no idea how a full page disappeared – very frustrating

I can’t get the calendar to ring an alarm. Does it have this function. My cell phone does.

      Hi Jack,

As far as I know it’s not built in. Because there is no “Clocks” application. There are however a few Applications in the appstore which do this quite well.
And with the arrival of iOS4.2 hopefully this month, these apps get updates to run in the background as well..
