Today in Amsterdam, TomTom have announced their new flagship called TomTom Go 1000 Live. It features a brand new design and will be equipped with state of the art components like a capacitive touchscreen, a 500 MHZ ARM 11 processor, 128 MB RAM memory, 4 GB of Internal storage for maps, a custom-built Broadcom GPS chip, a Webkit based browser and if you buy this PND, you will have Live Services free for ONE YEAR. After that it will cost less than 50 Euros for one year.
Beginning in June, you can use the Live Services in 33 countries across Europe, featuring local information about petrol prices, services and weather. The HD Traffic Service, which tracks congestion on secondary roads as well as motorways and safety camera alert features will come to only 16 nations at this moment.
Another novelty is the magnetic windscreen holder. You can attach and detach your GO 1000 now with one hand on the windscreen dock.
Together with all the new features, it will also have the latest NavCore onboard which is currently NavCore10. One of the new features of NavCore10 is “Park Assist” which guides you to available parking space(s) near your destination.
