KIN ONE & KIN TWO Review – Part 1 Unboxing

We just received the KIN ONE and the KIN TWO devices. These two new devices are brought to you by Microsoft running the new Windows Phone operating system with the special designed KIN User Interface. The devices are made by Sharp and are available in the United States by Verizon.

The KIN Devices are unique due to the four different elements which we will look at in upcoming reviews:

  1. KIN SPOT – is about sharing. Drag everything you want to share to the spot, pick your people and hit send
  2. KIN LOOP – is whatever you want to know, whenever you want to know on the display of your KIN
  3. KIN STUDIO – Manage and share your photos, videos, text/mms messages, phone settings and contacts with the online KIN STUDIO
  4. THE CAMERA – Take amazing pictures in even low light with LumiLED Flash (5 mp on the KIN ONE and 8 mp on the KIN TWO)

Below is a video where we are unboxing both the KIN ONE and the KIN TWO.

In earlier articles we looked at a virtual experience with the Facebook Connect on www.KIN.com and Capturing the Magazine of your life with the KIN Studio.

We will follow up soon with user experiences of these two KIN’s. However these devices are designed and marketed for the teenagers under us (I feel old now) and we will have to make sure that our views have to reflect their experiences.

Since May 6th  the KIN ONE and KIN TWO are available online at Verizon.com. The Verizon Communications Stores will have the KIN’s available starting Thursday May the 13th.

The KIN ONE is available for $49.99 with a new 2-year contract with an added smartphone plan of $29.99. The KIN TWO will be available under the same conditions for $99.99.
