During the Microsoft Office 2010 Launch Event, fellow editor Remo Knops got some time alone with the latest Samsung Windows Phone, the Samsung B7350 Omnia Pro 4 Smartphone and shared his experiences with us. At that time the name of the device was Omnia Pro4 (GT-B7350) and now the name on which it will appear on the market will be Samsung Omnia 735. After these formalities we should go more in-depth with this new Windows Phone.
Introducing the Samsung Omnia 735
The Omnia 735 seems to be a typical business Windows Phone, packed with a lot of features and applications to make your daily personal and professional life a lot easier. It has the same form factor as it’s predecessor the Omnia Pro, but now features a resistive touch screen, a front facing camera for video calls and Windows Mobile 6.5.3 Professional and Office Mobile 2010.
This device is aimed at the professional market and also includes a lot of business applications like a Pocket Dictionary for some quick translations on the go and a Smart Reader for a quick scan of some business cards. On the road you can use the included Office Communicator Mobile client, a Remote Desktop client and the Cisco Webex client for online meetings.
For your entertainment it includes a FM Radio, a Podcast client, an Allshare client for streaming files to a computer or server and a Streaming player. Access to all your social networks is provided too with a Twitter and Facebook client, a client for online communities like Picasa and Flickr (and lots more). There is even navigation with Google Maps.
As you can see this phone is designed to support you on the road anywhere in the world and Samsung made a good effort with a lot of well chosen included applications. Now let’s have a look at the specifications of this device.
