I really do like the User Interface a lot. It is really different from the already well know user interface of the Android interface on the mobile phones like HTC, Samsung, LG, Motorola and some others. Those mobile devices don’t give me a “Wow” factor anymore, but these tablets really do. However the lack of optimized applications for the tablets is reducing really the usability compared to the applications that are currently available for the Apple iPad 1 and 2.

Video Review

Take a better look on the Motorola Xoom in the video below which I made. I forgot to show you the “setting” menu in this video, but it is similar to the phone versions and is easy accessible through tapping on the right bottom of the screen on the time.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9V4xaDKCZo

Currently the Motorola Xoom is avaialable at Verizon for $599 with a 2 year data plan or for $799 without any data plans. The word is that a Wifi-only model will be available later this month for around $599.

Verizon Motorola Droid Pro UnBoxing Review

Google Android

Phones

droid pro

Google

motorola

Verizon and Motorola are bringing you again another Droid Google Android phone. This Droid compared to the other has a smaller screen and has a Blackberry style keyboard on the bottom of the device.

The Motorola Droid Pro is a candy bar style phone which feels very well in the palm of your hands. The physical keyboard feels a little bit squished on the device since the device is slimmer compared to other similar style devices as the Blackberries and the older Motorola Q9 series. The interface is very easy to use. I only had to move the Phone Icon to the home page for easier and quick access to the phone. Reaction time between switching screens, application and Landscape orientation is really, really fast.

The android platform is indeed a very customizable platform which gives me with each screen new surprise possible actions.

The Verizon Motorola DROID will be available to Verizon Customers on November 6, 2009 for $199.99 with a 2 year contract.

The specifications are all available at the Motorola website, But here are some key specifications:

CDMA 1X 800/1900, EVDO rev.A

Slider keyboard

5 MP camera with image stabilization, 4x zoom, automatic focus and Flash

Music and Video functionalities, recording at DVD quality.

1400 mAh Li Ion up to 385 min. in continuous use with 270 hours standby

E-mail and corporate E-mail synchronization

MMS, SMS and IM(instant Messaging)

Bluetoothv2.1 +EDR (many profiles supported)

Synchronization with Gmail accounts, corporate accounts and Facebook

WIFI 82.11 b.g

Internal GPS with Google Maps Navigation

Web Browser

Google Mobile services

O yes, it is a phone as well.

Take a look at the interactive Verizon Motorola DROID website outlining all the features as well.

Samsung Propel Pro by AT&T Quick Video Review

Phones

Windows Phone

3g

AT&T

HSDPA

HTC SNAP

motorola

Pantech

propel pro

q9h

Samsung

Samsung Jack

Slider

Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard

Windows Phones

world phone

I was lucky last week to get my hands on the Samsung Propel Pro by AT&T last week. I mentioned in my other reviews that I still prefer the Non-Touch Windows Smart Phones over the Touchversions. I really still like my Motorola Q9h a lot due to the form factor and feel of the keyboard and of course being a world phone. ( I am working on a new camera with better close-up focus. The Flip HD isn’t doing it).

All in all, I really like the slider function and the increased screen estate. The Samsung Propel Pro would definitely be a device I would carry around.

Any suggestions on a camera that would improve my picture ?
